Here are some images taken from a building which occupies the site of the old Victoria Dwellings. It was a strange sensation being more or less in the space where I spent my formatitive years and from where my pictures of accidents were taken at the junction of Clerkenwell & Farringdon Roads.
The accident pictures are currently showing at the Museum of London's Street Photography show www.museumoflondon.org.uk. It is almost fifty years since I last occupied this space and it brought back a mixture of memories. The full story of the return to the crossing can be read on the excellent www.spitalfieldslife.com written daily by the gentle author. Spitalfields life has also published online articles about Colin O'Brien Photographer, Colin O'Brien's Brick Lane and Colin O'Briens Traveller's Children. The site is brilliantly written and has a huge following all over the world.
